Olympic winner Steve Guerdat is newly in love. The woman at the side of the show jumper is Jenni Dahlman – and the Ex of Formula 1 champion Kimi Räikkönen.

Race driver Kimi Räikkönen, 33, and his wife Jenni, 31, have announced their separation after 8 year long marriage. Now it’s also clear why: The enthusiastic show jumper is newly together with Olympic winner Steve Guerdat, 30.

“Yes, they are a couple”, Willi Melliger, 59, confirms to Schweizer Illustrierten. Beaming, the rider of the legendary white horse Calvaro, adds: “They fit together perfectly. Everybody generously grants them their joy of love.” Also colleague Pius Schwizer, 50, says: “The whole equestrian-scene knows about. And they are really glad about this beautiful news.”

Guerdat himself doesn’t deny the relationship. But also after the end of the childless marriage between the successful Formula 1 driver and the former Miss Scandinavia the equestrian star remains faithful to his principle: “I don’t talk in public about my love life. That is and stays private matter.” Exactly this private matter gives him the security which he especially needed two weekends ago: At the tournament in Bordeaux he got a hard hit on the shin bone from a competitor’s horse and had to go to hospital with strong pain and swellings. “Fortunately nothing is broken. But I have very bad bruises”, the Olympic champion of London 2012 tells.

Consolation and the right care, that can give him his new love. Because she knows the sport well: Jenni Dahlman is an enthusiastic show jumper since decades. She owns many horses and was trained in the past by the Swiss riding ace Beat Mändli, 43. The former beauty queen is also successful model since years. Guerdat is besides Schwizer the most successful Swiss show jumper at present. His father Phillippe Guerdat, 60, celebrated many victories in the glorious time of Calvaro, Dollar Girl (Thomas Fuchs) and Tinka’s boy (Markus Fuchs).
